A small rug with a tailored edge. The Smith mat runs fine navy pinstripes down a chunky jute bouclé, a crisp, classic pattern for the spot just inside the door, beside the bed, or layered over a plainer rug. Made in Kerala from 100% jute, around half an inch of dense, textured pile. Small in footprint but sharp in detail, and tightly woven enough to take daily foot traffic. Handcrafted, so no two are exactly the same.

What to expect +
Like all natural fiber rugs, some initial shedding is normal and will settle over time. If a strand pops out, twist and push it back through to the base; never pull it. You may also notice a fine layer of dust beneath the rug in the first few weeks. A natural odor from dyes and fibers may be present when first unpackaged. This is completely normal and will dissipate once the rug is aired out.
