The Irving is a flatweave entry mat banded with broad navy stripes at each end and finished with fringe, a graphic, tailored welcome at the door. Being a flatweave it lies flat and low, no pile to trap grit, just a tight, hard wearing jute surface built for the busiest threshold in the house. 100% jute, handcrafted in Kerala by a family workshop with decades at the loom. Handmade, so the stripe and weave carry small variations from one mat to the next.

What to expect +
Like all natural fiber rugs, some initial shedding is normal and will settle over time. If a strand pops out, twist and push it back through to the base; never pull it. You may also notice a fine layer of dust beneath the rug in the first few weeks. A natural odor from dyes and fibers may be present when first unpackaged. This is completely normal and will dissipate once the rug is aired out.
