Smith

The Smith runs a set of fine navy pinstripes across natural jute, a tailored, ticking-stripe look that reads classic rather than loud. The stripes sit in the dense loops of a chunky bouclé, so there's real texture behind the pattern. It's 100% jute, made in Kerala, around half an inch thick and substantial underfoot. At area size it grounds a living or dining room with a crisp, considered stripe that works as easily in a coastal room as a traditional one. Handcrafted by a family workshop, so the pinstripe carries small, honest variations from one rug to the next.

Like all natural fiber rugs, some initial shedding is normal and will settle over time. If a strand pops out, twist and push it back through to the base; never pull it. You may also notice a fine layer of dust beneath the rug in the first few weeks. A natural odor from dyes and fibers may be present when first unpackaged. This is completely normal and will dissipate once the rug is aired out.
