The Carter Heathered brings softness to a natural palette. A wool and jute bouclé in a heathered neutral, the wool flecked through so the tone reads mottled and warm rather than flat, with natural jute beneath holding the structure. At 60% wool it's genuinely soft underfoot, easier and more giving than pure jute. Made in Kerala, around half an inch thick. At area size it grounds a living room or bedroom in a quiet, textured neutral you'll happily walk barefoot on. Handcrafted by a family workshop, so the heather settles differently across every rug.

What to expect +
Jute sheds a little for the first few days, then settles down. If a strand pops out, twist and push it back through to the base; never pull it. You may also notice a fine layer of dust beneath the rug in the first few weeks. A natural odor from dyes and fibers may be present when first unpackaged. This is completely normal and will dissipate once the rug is aired out.

Beautiful soft rugs

I bought four wool rugs to go beside the beds in my guest house. They are so soft to step onto bare foot and look very pretty too. A lovely addition to tie my bedroom furniture into the room.

Carter Oversized Mat

This is a lovely rug. I purchased the oversized rug to see how the style would go with our exposed aggregate concrete floor, with a view to buying the larger rug for the living area. The colours and quality are beautiful but alas don't work with our floor. I will happily use it in another part of the house with floor boards.
